Christoph Königs has been based at the Pediatric Hemophilia Center, University Hospital Frankfurt, Frankfurt, Germany, since 2002. In addition to closely working with patients and their families at the centre, he heads up the Clinical and Molecular Haemostasis research group. The research group focuses on coagulation disorders, especially on understanding the immune response to coagulation factors and the development of alternative humoral or cellular treatments.
He received his medical education and training at Goethe University in Frankfurt, and his scientific education at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, where he specialised in paediatrics and haemostasis. He received his habilitation in 2022.
He is a member of several scientific societies and committees and co-leads the National Registry on patients newly diagnosed with haemophilia in Germany, as well as the Scientific Advisory Council of the Paediatric Network for Haemophilia Management Registry.

Jan Blatný is a consultant haematologist at the Department of Paediatric Haematology and Biochemistry and director of the Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre of the University Hospital Brno, Brno, Czech Republic. He is also an associate professor of paediatrics at Masaryk University in Brno and a clinical lead for internal medicine out-patient services at the new generation Hospital Bory, Bratislava, Slovakia. His research interests include paediatric haematology, thrombosis and haemostasis, and life-threatening bleeding.
He is a steering committee member and paediatric coordinator of the Czech National Haemophilia Programme, vice-president of the Executive Committee of the European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders, and a member of the Medical and Scientific Advisory Group of the European Haemophilia Consortium.

Víctor Jiménez-Yuste is an associate professor of medicine at the Autónoma University, Madrid, and head of the Haematology Department at the Hospital Universitario La Paz, Madrid, Spain.
After completing his degree in medicine at the University of Valladolid, Valladolid, Spain, he specialised in haematology at the La Paz University Hospital. He was awarded his PhD by the Autónoma University, where his thesis focused on haemophilia and human immunodeficiency virus infections.

Jayashree Motwani is a consultant paediatric haematologist at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Birmingham, UK, where she is a member of the consultant team for Leukaemia Service Provision. She is also the lead for haemostasis and thrombosis, and centre director at the Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre.
She is vice-chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the Paediatric Network for Haemophilia Management, and a member of the National Paediatric Working Party for Haemostasis and Thrombosis, the Genetics Working Party, and the Paediatric Special Interest Group of the British Society for Haematology, where she provides care to children with bleeding disorders, including immune thrombocytopenia and thrombotic problems. She is involved in several research projects and trials in this field, including newer long-acting recombinant factor products, thrombopoietin mimetics and novel anticoagulants.
